On February 21 and 22, 2025, the La Cristalera center in Miraflores de la Sierra will host the final conference of the EquiLing project (Critical linguistic awareness and speaker agency: action research for sociolinguistic equality), an event that will bring together researchers, teachers and experts to discuss sociolinguistic inequalities, speaker agency and participatory action research methodology.

During the congress, round tables will be held with researchers from the different territories (Madrid, Galicia, Euskadi and Catalunya), who will share the lessons learned throughout the project. In addition, resources developed in the framework of EquiLing will be presented, including documentaries and interactive materials, with the participation of students and teachers who have collaborated in the initiative. On the website you can find resources to replicate in your contexts and mobilize reflection on the role of language in social inequality. They can also access academic publications, books and monographs, some of them in open access.

On Saturday, February 22, there will be a discussion with stakeholders and external collaborators, followed by working sessions on project management, publications and future proposals. The event will conclude with a closing session where the final conclusions of the project will be shared. The open presentation of these results will take place at EDiSo in Bilbao in July 2025.
